Hello, I’m Ariel!

Portrait of a woman with long dark hair, smiling, wearing a black vest over a white shirt, with a white background.

I'm originally from Philadelphia and made aliyah in 2020. After a few years back in the States completing my master's in social work at the University of Pennsylvania, I've been permanently home in Tel Aviv since 2025.

I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to appear composed on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure on the inside. Like many of the women I work with, I've spent years trying to do everything right, staying in control, meeting expectations, chasing a sense of certainty, only to realize that chasing perfection often left me feeling more disconnected, because nothing ever quite felt like enough.

I'm drawn to this work because I believe we all deserve space to reconnect with who we are beneath the roles, responsibilities, and pressures we carry. The version of you that exists outside of your to-do list, your achievements, and everyone else's expectations.

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just off. Like something isn't working, even if you can't quite name what it is. Maybe you're overthinking, second-guessing yourself, or holding yourself to impossibly high standards. Maybe you're caught in cycles of worrying about food and your body, or navigating the exhausting and isolating road of trying to conceive. Some women come to me with many of these struggles, others with just one. But almost all share a sense that life feels more complicated and overwhelming than they expected.

In our work together we'll slow things down and take a closer look at what's beneath the surface. What can feel like bad habits or personality flaws often began as forms of self-protection. We'll look at what they've done for you, and what you're ready to do differently.

A cozy indoor scene with a pinkish-beige sofa, a gray pillow, a laptop, a white speckled mug, and a magazine on the sofa. In the background, there is a shelf with decorative items, a black wall with a framed photograph, and a tall vase with dried flowers. Natural light is coming from the right side of the image.

How I Work

I am not a therapist who sits quietly and nods while you talk. Our sessions are collaborative. I will ask questions that get beneath the surface, offer honest feedback, challenge perspectives that are keeping you stuck, and give you actual tools you can use outside of our sessions.

I show up as a human first and a therapist second. Our sessions will have warmth, depth, and occasional humor. Sometimes a well-placed curse word too. Therapy does not have to be stiff or overly serious to be meaningful. What it does have to be is honest. And that is something I will always bring.

My Approach

The Relationship Is the Work

When you feel genuinely seen, heard, and not judged, something shifts. That experience of being in a safe, honest relationship is itself deeply healing, especially for women who have spent years contorting themselves to be what everyone else needs.

Evidence-Based Care

I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, adapting what I use to what you actually need rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps us understand and shift the thought patterns keeping you stuck. Psychodynamic therapy, which looks at the deeper roots of your patterns and where they came from. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which helps you build a life aligned with your values rather than driven by fear. And person-centered therapy, which keeps you and your experience at the center of everything we do.
