Every woman I work with is different. These are the areas I work with most often. If you don't see your struggle listed here, please reach out anyway. If I can't help, I'll point you in the right direction.

Pregnancy
For the woman whose pregnancy feels nothing like she expected
Everyone told you pregnancy would be the happiest time of your life. The glow, the excitement, the joy. And maybe there are moments of that. But there is also anxiety, fear, exhaustion, and a complicated mix of emotions that nobody warned you about and that you feel guilty for having.
You are not doing it wrong. You are just being honest.
What This Can Look Like:
Anxiety about birth that keeps you up at night
Fear about who you will be on the other side of this, whether you will be a good mother, whether your relationship will survive
Watching your body change in ways that feel unfamiliar and sometimes hard to sit with
Feeling disconnected from your pregnancy, like you are going through the motions but not really present
Guilt for not feeling purely happy and grateful when everyone around you expects you to be glowing
Complicated feelings that are hard to name and even harder to say out loud
You Don’t Have To Glow
Pregnancy is not one emotion. It is about twenty emotions at once, some of them contradictory, many of them unexpected. The idea that pregnancy should feel like a continuous state of bliss is one of the most unhelpful stories we tell women. The reality is messier and more human than that.
You are allowed to feel anxious and excited at the same time. You are allowed to grieve the version of yourself that existed before. You are allowed to have hard days even when things are going well. None of that makes you ungrateful. It makes you a real person going through something enormous.
When Your Partner Joins The Room

Pregnancy After Infertility Or Loss
You worked so hard to get here. You went through more than most people around you will ever understand. And now you are pregnant, and instead of feeling the relief and joy you imagined, you feel terrified. You are afraid to hope. Afraid to get attached. Afraid that something will go wrong because you know better than anyone that it can.
People say things like "you should be so happy, you finally have what you wanted." And you smile because what else can you do? But inside you are holding your breath through every appointment, every scan, every week that passes.
This is not ingratitude. This is what happens when your body and your history have taught you to brace for impact. Therapy can be a space to slowly, carefully learn to let yourself hope again, at whatever pace feels safe for you.
What Our Work Together Looks Like
In our work together, we will make room for the full complexity of what you are experiencing, not just the parts that are acceptable to say out loud. We will work through the anxiety, the fear, the guilt, and the grief.
You deserve support that meets you exactly where you are. Not where everyone thinks you should be.
